Rafik Ammar is Global Policy Director. He bases his experience with European institutions, International Maritime Organization (IMO) and federations - more particularly at the European Commission and the European Parliament. He is one of the co-authors of the Economic and Investment Guide in Tanzania and Tchad for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. He studied between U.S. and France and he is also a graduate from the Institut national du service public (INSP, ex-ENA Ecole National d'Administration) and a business engineer.
He works on government, EU and IMO affairs and apply his expertise in energy and maritime to support the eNG Coalition’s government relations strategy in Europe, Asia and Americas and at the IMO, leading stakeholder engagements to effectively share the perspectives of the renewable energy with policymakers.
Former Director of Government relations and Public Affairs - Europe and IMO.
Former Coordinator for Interinstitutional Relations at Secretariat General at European Commission.
Former Policy Advisor to the President of the Transports and Tourism Committee at the European Parliament.
Former Executive Assistant to the Vice President of Sales at IBM France.
He is able to master the global framework of EU and IMO actions, master the techniques and tools of public affairs, work with the European Commission and the International Maritime Organization, negotiate in the European Parliament and the Council, work with national authorities, master the challenges and content of European public policies and apply European and IMO regulations in an organization.
